An ideal entry point into the Chinese automotive market: support our senior engineers on prototype build-up, vehicle integration and testing — on-site at OEM facilities in Beijing.
The Junior Automotive Engineer role at NTM Engineering in Beijing is built for an engineer with a strong technical foundation and a real drive to learn. It is one of the most direct entry points into the Chinese automotive market: from day one you work shoulder-to-shoulder with senior engineers on prototype hardware installation, vehicle integration and test preparation, gaining the kind of hands-on OEM exposure that usually takes years to access.
Your day involves real engineering, not coffee runs. You assist on test drives and benchmarking, document results to OEM documentation standards, support fault analysis on prototype and mule vehicles, and help keep logistics and parts management running smoothly on-site. You learn how vehicle development actually works inside live OEM and new-energy-vehicle (NEV) programs — by doing it, next to people who have done it for years.
NTM invests in the people who join early. You will be given responsibility as fast as you can carry it, with experienced automotive engineers mentoring you directly and short decision paths that let you contribute ideas, not just execute tasks. Because we operate on-site in Beijing at the heart of China's automotive industry, you build a network and a skill set that few junior engineers ever get the chance to.
This is the right role if you hold a degree in mechanical, electrical or automotive engineering, have a hands-on mindset, and want to grow fast in a demanding, international and trilingual environment. Internship experience at an OEM or Tier-1 is welcome, but what matters most is curiosity, reliability and the willingness to relocate to Beijing and make the most of it.
